I know there are tech issues to be solved but someone will do it. Looks like Scarlett is likely to be the first with RedCode RAW video. Yeah, I’d like the option to connect a DSLR to a computer and capture uncompressed video direct to disk. I’ve done that with HDV camcorders and the quality is amazing. It’s like working with RAW photo files with all the color information available.

I know there are tech issues to be solved but someone will do it. Looks like Scarlett is likely to be the first with RedCode RAW video.

About the only improvements I'd personally like to see is for DSLR's to record video to a better codec with 4:4:4 or at least 4:2:2. With less compression in tow. I love the idea of shooting HD level with a full size sensor.The ability of shooting in very low light and no lights,Is worth it on that point alone.The firmware updates being able to shoot 24,25,&30 frames a sec,is even better.As it matches the camcorders and the HD sets all over the world.This elimates the need of making a Pal and a NTSC version, just switch it to whatever.
